100 Days

I live in Washington, DC so I thought about how “The First 100 Days” is always a big date for every new President.  It basically marks the end of the transition and the start of the body of the presidency.  The Inaugural Balls are over, the Cabinet is in place, you’ve offered up a piece or two of new legislation, made a few mistakes, had a few successes…you know what I mean.  It’s the point in which it, whatever “it” is, isn’t new anymore.  Well, my first 100 days are over so I thought I would give you some statistics to mull over and see how my personal presidency is going.

Total Time Running: 40 Hours, 49 Minutes, 20 Seconds

Total Distance Running: 261.80 Miles

Average Time Per Run: 24 Minutes, 30 Seconds

Average Distance Per Run: 2.64 Miles

Average Pace Per Run: 9 Minutes, 21 Seconds per mile

Fastest Run: 6/23, 2.65miles in 21:22, 8:03pace

Slowest Run: 4/8, 2.86miles in 33:43, 11:47pace

“Best” Run: 6/17, Father’s Day 4miler, A great day in every way

“Worst” Run: 6/1, attempted date night run with Wifey, an epic failure of scheduling and weather, good effort but terrible execution

Longest Run: 6/7&8, my 2-for-1 special, 4.26miles

Shortest Run: 6/1, I don’t do lightning, 1.05miles

Best Blog Post: Top Gun

Most “hits” day: May 8th, I got 96 hits on this day alone (people also read my May 7th entry)

Pairs of shoes: 2

Injuries: 0 (*knocksonwood*)

Biggest Supporter: Wifey

MVP: Cold Whirlpool

Weight Lost: 10lbs

Note the strain on the middle set of “used” holes…some evidence of time spent on the bigger setting, and now the indents created on the small setting now necessary to hold my pants up at an appropriate height. The phone is for scale and the quilt was made by my Mom.

Thank you all for reading.  My brother, when I asked him for suggestions about the blog, reminded me that this is my diary and I’m just letting people read it so as long as I’m happy with it that’s all that matters.  Well, I am and I hope you are enjoying it too.  I’ve never kept a diary before although I tried once or twice as a kid.  The running itself has been pretty great but writing about it has it’s mental health benefits as well.

Only 265 more days to go!

Run 100/365: 2.50miles in 21:17, office treadmill, solo.
